It’s that time of year! Christmas trees, gifts under the tree, Santa Claus, gingerbread houses and Christmas carols are just around the corner. It’s the “most wonderful time of the year.”
Or, if you’re like me, you’ve waited and waited and now you are thinking about all of those gifts that you want to make. Yes, make. I love to gift homemade gifts but it seems like every year, my time gets smaller and smaller to make these gifts for my family.
I have five nieces. Yep, five of them. This year, I’m thinking scarves! Luckily, I found plenty of free easy patterns for sewing a scarf!
Infinity Scarf
Infinity scarves are all the rage right now. Here’s a pattern to sew an infinity scarf which I think will be perfect for my teenage nieces. There’s also this pattern that teaches you how to sew a ruffled infinity scarf.
Fleece scarves
Fleece is perfect for quick sewing projects. You don’t have to sew the sides of fleece because it doesn’t unravel. This fleece fringe scarf would be adorable for younger girls. I’m also seeing a lot of fleece scarves on websites like Old Navy that are nothing but a strip of fabric with slits cut at each end for the fringe!
