Have you ever tried to make dessert in your crockpot? It’s amazing! Image Credit: Lauri Patterson

Oh fall and winter, I am so ready for you! You bring crock pots back into my regular rotation and for that (and my sanity), I thank you. Seriously though, crock pot meals are a huge lifesaver on busy days, for dinner or even breakfast, but we all know that dessert is the most important part of any meal, right?

What? You don’t think it’ll work!? Well, let me tell you – crock pots CAN be used to make yummy and easy desserts! Take a look at a few of these recipes, and.. prepare to drool!

Chocolate Crock Pot Dessert Recipe: Rocky Road Crockpot Cake – Bless this Food

Ya’ll knew my first recipe would involve chocolate didn’t you? I cannot wait to try this Rocky Road Slow-Cooker Cake!

With just a cake mix, some instant pudding, eggs, butter, sour cream, and milk – plus the yummy toppings you see pictured here – chocolate chips and marshmallows – you’ll be serving up some decadent deliciousness!

After a pot of this ooey gooey chocolaty dessert, your family may never be the same! Don’t just keep it for your own family though – this would also be an awesome potluck food – mix it up before you go and cook a little, then plug it back in when you get there. This recipe takes 3 1/2 hours to cook, so it would be JUST done when everyone’s done eating the potluck meal, and fresh, hot, and ready to eat/top with ice cream by the time everyone’s ready for dessert. Yum!

We also made a slightly different version (Rocky Road Cake Recipe – Prepper’s Pantry Style recipe) which is great if you’re out of eggs or some other ingredients. We like to cook from our pantries here at MP!

Baked Cheesecake in the Crock Pot – This one has a chocolate crust.. YUM! Image by C.J.B, recipe courtesy of the Hillbilly Housewife.

Easy Crock Pot Dessert Recipe: Cheesecake in the Crockpot – Hillbilly Housewife

Yes!  This recipe for Praline Cheesecake in the crock pot sounds absolutely divine! Thanks to Hillbilly Housewife for this fantastic cheesecake recipe! With a graham-crackery crust, and simple ingredients (cream cheese, brown sugar, 2 eggs, whipping cream, vanilla, and flour) this is a winner for sure! I personally adore the richness of cheesecake, but can’t stand the ordeal of making one. Mine always (ALWAYS) crack, and I’ve never made a water bath that didn’t get spilled – but cheesecake in the slow cooker? I can do that!

Still hungry? Keep reading – we’re offering up even more delicious recipes, like crockpot biscuits, cheesecake, berry cobbler, and pumpkin pie on the next few pages!

  1. You really should make it easier to understand where the actual recipe is for the lovely items you post on your blog. I find this a super irritatingly common problem on many blogs. Most would not think that the credit given to the PHOTO was where you find the actual recipe. It should say CLICK here for the recipe or some such. Not all of us are super blogger friendly and seek such sites (like from Pinterest pins) looking for printable recipes. Another issue, once you find the recipe, no print option. just annoying to copy and paste every single thing once you actually locate the recipe. Sorry but I am not the only one…I searched your site to find this recipe for a friend as she could not figure it out either.

This reply goes to Nik, about the previous comment. I have never made a comment before, but felt the need to do so. Somehow the internet gives people computer muscles to say what ever they want to people who are just try to help us. I am quite sure if you were talking face to face to this blogger you would be more polite with your remarks. You did not need to rant about not finding what you wanted, just be a little nicer with your comments.

My apologies, Nik! I dropped in another recipe, and lost the in-text links! Hopefully it should be easier to find the recipes now. :)

    • i had no problems finding recipes on your page and copy/paste isn’t an issue! thanks for the great crock pot recipes

I would like to pin it to my board on pinterest so I can have it at my fingertips.

  4. made the chocolate cake desert everyone loved it.

  5. I found this blog through pinterest. The pin read “50+ crock pot dessert recipes.” Now that I am at the blog I’m thinking they meant to say 5+ recipes. Obviously not your fault, I’m just annoyed is all. :p

  6. Janette says:

This looks AMAZING! And I can’t have eggs so this is perfect for me. But I’m glad Pinterest led me to your site, I can’t wait to peruse after my little guy goes to bed.

    Thanks!

  7. Sorry to say but I have clicked on everything possible on page 3 and still can’t find the link to Pumpkin Pie recipe. Apparently Nik is not the only one having problems. Pumpkin is my daughters favorite and it sounds amazing. Hope I eventually get to enjoy it.
